Yogi Tea: Meditative Time

Yogi Tea recently offered samples of their teas. Y'all know I love my tea, so I had to try it. Their Meditative Time tea is made from these ingredients:

Organic Sage, Organic English Lavender Flower, Natural Boysenberry Flavor, Organic Nettle Leaf, Organic Skullcap Leaf, Chrysanthemum Flower, Organic Blackberry Leaf, Organic Gotu Kola, Organic Helichrysum, Shank Pushpi, Organic Lemon Myrtle, Stevia Leaf, Organic Lavender Flavor.

I did not enjoy this tea. It tasted like a mouthful of soap. I assume that's caused by the lavender ? Thumbs down for this tea.

Republic of Tea: Honey Ginseng

I received a Republic of Tea catalogue recently. Included with it was a sample of honey ginseng tea. RT's website lists the tea as follows:

Daily Green Tea - A relaxing blend combines the ancient healthy properties of China green tea with Panax ginseng and full blossom honey. This delicious, subtly sweet tea offers a peaceful sipping experience.

When I opened the sample, I was hit by a heavy honey smell. I boiled some water and made myself a cup of tea. The honey ginseng tea tasted like water with too much honey. Yuck. So much for "subtly sweet tea." I won't be buying that : P
